As work continues on the Downtown Monmouth Beautification construction, Mayor Rod Davies provides a current update on the progress of the Porter Brothers crew:
“We got the curb poured around the circle. Got all the handicap approaches done. We are getting really close on finishing the square circle up and are down to Market Alley and the activities in there. We will have a handicap accessible ramp there to construct, along with the Market Alley walkway. We have some bushes that will be in there and some planters. We also have some really nice umbrella tables that will be mounted into the ground, and we will have the archway sign announcing Market Alley.”
Following completion of Market Alley, crews will begin milling the roadways from the 100 blocks into the Public Square and the quadrants, with landscaping taking place as well throughout.
