Finding homes with a heart is the mission of the Western Illinois Animal Rescue. Jazzy come to the rescue over a year ago in need of a major surgery, but has been on an amazing journey waiting for her forever home, shares volunteer Danielle Cox:
“Jazzy is a two-year-old pit mix. She came to the rescue in August of last year and she was not in good shape. She had a corncob stuck in her stomach and the Rescue had to quickly take her to the animal emergency center in the Quad Cities. She had to have surgery and made it out successfully and here we are today,” states Cox.
“Jazzy has been with the rescue for one-year, so she has kind of became like my passion project to find her a good home. She deserves it. Jazzy would like to say, ‘thank you’ to everybody who donated to her medical expenses,” Cox adds.
“After that time, Jazzy continued to stay at the rescue. This past summer, Jazzy went to Wilson’s Dog Training in Cuba. She went through boarding and training, did very, very well, graduated from that. She is muzzle trained. She is sweet and great with people. She loves her car rides. She loves being in the water. She is affectionate with people. She keeps a clean kennel and has clean ears. She is looking for an experienced handler,” informs Cox.
