Activity is underway on West Harlem Avenue in Monmouth and has resulted in one-way traffic while construction is taking place, explains Communications Director Ken Helms:
“Contractors put up a lot of signage on it, so basically all the inlets if you are trying to travel north, very clearly marked that it is one-way. Right now that one-way is going west. Eventually that will reverse, but right now the one-way goes west out to the bypass. It is still open and accessible to all the businesses that are along that route.”
Underground work of the storm water inlets and collection will take place first, followed by the curb, gutter, and sidewalks before the actual roadway resurfacing of West Harlem Avenue.
