Renovations continue to push forward at the former VFW building in Monmouth, as it is becoming the new location of the Community Day Services Program with Warren Achievement Center. Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh informs fundraising is currently in progress for the addition of a 4,400 square foot structure at the location:

“We are currently raising money for the addition, which is the 4,400 square foot addition. It is going to be like a medical facility, if you will. That will be where we have our nurses officers, we will have exam rooms, a sick room, showers, and also space for our individuals that require the most amount of attention. That will be their building because we want them to have the newest and the best. Fundraising is going quite well. We have received some wonderful donations. The Community Health Foundation of Warren and Henderson Counties, we are very pleased and very thankful for their consideration and investment. We have also received a Galesburg Community Foundation Turnout Grant.”

Cavanaugh anticipates the main building renovations to be completed by the end of this calendar year, with the addition to be construction in the future.
