One in two families experience diaper need. Throughout the month of September, the Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank is celebrating their 10th Anniversary by promoting diaper drives leading up to their Decade of Diapers Open House, shares Board Member Alexis Batchelder:
“We have been providing services to the communities for ten years now. We serve twelve counties and of those twelve counties we have 26 partner agencies that are able to give the supplies that are donated out to the communities. We spend a lot of time in the warehouse doing hands-on work. We have volunteer nights on Mondays and Wednesdays and a few other random days in between. It is really awesome to be in there and see all the partner agencies that come in and volunteer to be able to give back to the clients they serve through their direct services,” states Batchelder.
“The month of September we are celebrating our 10th Anniversary. We are asking any community organizations, any people, anybody that is interested to hold diaper drives, collecting donations, to then bring them to our Open House event,” Batchelder adds.
The Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank with host their Decade of Diapers Open House on Monday, September 29th from 5 to 8 pm at their warehouse, located at 77 South Henderson Street in Galesburg.
