The Abingdon-Avon Tornado football team is currently (0-3) on the season. That record doesn’t necessarily indicate how well the Tornadoes have played at times. The combined overall record of the three teams that A-Town has played is (7-2), with all three having a great shot at the postseason. In week one, Annawan/Wethersfield broke open a close game at the half to win 44-14. However, in the past two games against Stark County and West Hancock, the total point differential has been three points.

A-Town head coach Rick Quinn says he isn’t giving any more attention to what has happened in the first 1/3 of the season, he’s focused on the final 2/3 of the season.

The Tornadoes will travel to United High School on Friday night and we’ll have the game on the Prairie Communications Sports Network on AM 1330/FM 95.7 WRAM and live online at radiomonmouth.com. The pregame show will start at 6:30, with kickoff at 7:00.
