On 09/27/25, in the early morning hours, a Macomb Police officer was on patrol. The officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. The officer conducted a thorough investigation and determined the driver, Wyatt Parks, a 19-year-old male of Colchester, was under the influence of alcohol. After his arrest for DUI, Parks was alleged to have been found carrying a loaded pistol on his person. Parks was ultimately charged with DUI Alcohol, Illegal Possession/Transportation of Alcohol, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon.

Macomb Chief Jeff Hamer says, “Our officers are diligent in DUI enforcement. We believe enforcement saves lives. In this instance, the officer may have prevented a violent tragedy.”

Mr. Parks, like all arrested people, is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The charges mentioned are merely allegations and must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
