Part of their annual plan that is reviewed each year, Warren County Housing is in the middle of laying out their five-year capital improvements, reports Executive Director Hank Shimmin:

“We are working on getting all four elevators redone, so that is on the forefront. It is hard to look out five years, but you definitely want to have everything covered that might need done. We have a large window project planned. We are going to start bathroom remodels at some of the sites that haven’t had bathroom remodels recently. We have appliances on that list. Those things are all important. There are many, many more on the list that we can move up. Part of the capital improvement plan, the five-year action plan, a big part of that is our Resident Advisory Board meetings, which is a board that consists of our residents, and we can hear from them.”

Additionally, Shimmin informs that in October the Monmouth Fire Department will be conducting fire prevention trainings at the Oak and Costello Terrace buildings for all residents.
