Freedom Ride Animal Rescue will be hosting their second annual 5K Run and 1 mile Walk and Wag on Saturday, October 11th, shares Brandy Woehler:
“It will be the same location as last year, the parking lot of the First Christian Church in Monmouth, is where it will start. We will have bathrooms available. We have a virtual 5K as well this year going on, so if you can’t make it, if you live out of state, and you still would like to participate, you can sign up for that and we do have medals as well for that. As long as your friend is on a leash, we prefer no retractable leashes, if they are up to date on vaccines, they can participate with you. We do have medals if they are in the 5K and are first, second, or third for those pets. If you have kids and you are a paying adult, if they are six or under, they are free.”
The 5K Run will start at 9 am from the First Christian Church in Monmouth, 514 North Sunny Lane, and the 1 mile Walk and Wag will begin at 9:30 pm. The link to register can be found online at freedomrideanimalrescue.com.
