Clifford Adams, President of the Maple City Street Machines, that sponsor and run the Monmouth Car Show, donated $500 to Power for Seniors and $500 to Cops and Kids programs. These programs are sponsored by the Monmouth Fraternal Order of Police and help to serve our community locally. The “Power for Seniors” event is an annual community program hosted by the Monmouth Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 265, in partnership with the Strom Center and other local organizations, to provide assistance to local seniors. Cops and Kids is a Holiday program where donations are used to buy Christmas presents for approximately 20 local children. Each child is accompanied by either a Monmouth Police Officer or a Warren County Sheriff Deputy while choosing their gifts. The children and their families are then treated to a pizza party.
The Maple City Street Machines annual car show is held every summer in Monmouth for 26 years with thousands of cars and spectators.
