With two full days of activities still remaining for the 2025 Warren County Prime Beef Festival, it has been a whirlwind already for the princess court since being crowned last Saturday evening. A senior at Monmouth-Roseville High School, Brenda Velasquez-Raygoza, is this years’ Princess, who shares advice for others wanting to take the stage in the future:
“I would defintely recommend it to other girls, so if there are any younger girls, I’d defintely recommend it or pageants in general. It just builds your confidence and it makes you a better person and you will get use to speaking in front of crowds; I think that really matters.”
First Runner Up, Lillianne Mahoney, also a senior at Monmouth-Roseville High School, shares how she overcame her nerves the night of the pageant:
“It was very stressful, but the second I walked on stage, all my nerves cleared and it was very fun; especially performing my baton routine. I love doing that and just walking. It was my first pageant, so it was something fun and new to do.”
Second Runner Up, Vivian Lair, a Monmouth-Roseville Senior, explains her answer to the pop question portion of the evening:
“I answered my pop question by saying that more kid-friendly clubs like another place to go; all we do is drive around and gas is a little expensive. As soon as Mackenzie said my name, I was a little nervous, it felt like my heart sunk a little bit, but as soon as I saw the judges it was just amazing. As soon as I sat down they were asking how I was doing and I just instantly felt better.”
Another member of the senior class at Monmouth-Roseville High School was crowned Third Runner Up, Abbey Hood, who shares her pageant experience:
“The beginning was very stressful, but as soon as we got to after interviews and we all came back, we were all in a good mood and all excited. Throughout the night we were just so excited to see who got on the court. We were all happy for each other and it was so much fun.”
Chloe Kelly received the Personality Award and Second Runner Up Vivian Lair also received the Talent Award of this years’ 2025 Warren County Prime Beef Festival.
