Since receiving a grant from the Federal Government to operate the Head Start program locally, the Regional Office of Education #33 is nearing completion of the transition phase, reports Regional Superintendent Kathryn Jennings:
“We will be on-boarding about twenty-five new Head Start employees with the ROE, so that will bring our count of employees up to around 300, which is the largest we have ever been. We are excited to bring that service to the area, as it has always been around, but now to have a one stop shop for everything early childhood is fantastic. We are so grateful for our leaders in the Early Childhood Department. We have Tara Case, Amy Fullerton, and Jodi Scott.”
The Regional Office of Education #33 officially takes over the Head Start program on October 1st.
