Drew Cole, a 2012 Monmouth-Roseville graduate and former three-sport standout, is entering his fourth season with the Illinois State Redbirds and was recently promoted to General Manager of the Illinois State women’s basketball team. Cole is coming off his best season yet, as the Redbirds advanced all the way to the Final Four of the Women’s NIT Tournament last year. Coach Cole and the Redbirds have already started official practice, with their first matchup of the year just over a month away. They will host Illinois Wesleyan on October 26 for an exhibition game, a true cross-town matchup between the two Bloomington-Normal schools.
