Monmouth-Roseville Superintendent Ed Fletcher informs the addition of Larry Myers as the School Resource Officer has been a great element for students and families:
“He is doing a great job; hit the ground running working with families, communicating with families about attendance, working on different crisis emergency plans and responses to crisis that could come up. It is nice to be able to have a person such as Officer Myers be able to help behind the scenes to shore up what we already have. None of us in the education world are experts on that. Having a person that can help us and shore that up and help provide training and go through some of the finer things that you don’t usually deal with until you have something occur. It is very nice to have that. We are very grateful.”
Additionally, Superintendent Fletcher reports the no cellphone policy at the high school has had a great response and increased student engagement in the classrooms.
