Scott P. McClintock Announces Candidacy for Warren County Resident Circuit Court Judge

Scott P. McClintock, a lifelong resident of Warren County, has officially announced his candidacy for Resident Circuit Court Judge. With deep community ties, extensive legal experience, and a proven record of public service, McClintock is committed to upholding justice and fairness for the people of Warren County and the entire 9th Judicial Circuit.

McClintock is a 1996 graduate of Monmouth High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in 2001 and his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2006. Following law school, he dedicated his career to public service and the practice of law.

He began serving the public as the Warren County Assistant State’s Attorney before being elected Henderson County State’s Attorney. In 2017, McClintock entered private practice in Monmouth, where he continues to represent clients across all counties within the 9th Judicial Circuit.

Beyond his legal work, McClintock has been an active community leader. He has served as a board member for Head Start, the Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation, and the Achievement Center Endowment. He currently serves on the boards of the Special Abilities Endowment and the Community Thanksgiving Dinner, demonstrating his long-standing commitment to serving those in need.

“I have lived almost my entire life in Warren County, and this community has shaped who I am today,” McClintock said. “I believe our courts must reflect fairness, accountability, and a commitment to justice. My goal as Circuit Judge is to serve the people of Warren County with integrity, impartiality, and dedication to the rule of law.”

McClintock and his wife, Jill, have been married for 21 years and are raising their three daughters in Monmouth.

With a lifetime of community connection, years of legal experience, and dedication to public service, Scott P. McClintock is ready to bring his leadership and commitment to the Warren County Circuit Court.
