Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 21st, 2025:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior girls golfer, Nevaeh Stokes. Nevaeh is in her first year of golf and has done a fantastic job. She competed in her first Three Rivers Athletic Conference championship tournament at Byron Hills. Nevaeh’s 14th place score of 103 was good enough to place her on the TRAC All-Conference Second Team.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior girls golfer, Paige Christianson. Paige helped her team win it’s 5th straight Lincoln Trail Conference Railsplitter championship. She helped by winning the individual title. Paige’s score of 85 at Midland Golf Club was four shots better than the runnerup.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior girls swimmer, Becca Hinshaw. Becca’s performance at the Hononegah Invitational was outstanding. She brought home four, first-place medals and was the highest point-getter of any junior in the entire Invitational. So far this season, Becca has placed first in an amazing 9 of the 10 races that she’s swam.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is sophomore football player, Grady Hickey. The Silver Streak offense exploded for 54 points in a Western Big Six Conference win over Alleman. Many of those points came from the arm of the quarterback. Grady was 15-23 for 262 yards, with 3 touchdown passes.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Jamil Johnson. Jamil filled up the stat sheet in a 59-30 win over United. As a quarterback, he threw for 189 yards and five touchdowns. He used his legs to rush for three more touchdowns AND ran a kickoff back 75 yards for another score.
