The City of Monmouth received a grant to assist the building owners of 66 and 68 Public Square in completing rehabilitation projects at their location, reports Mayor Rod Davies:

“The City received a grant to help the owners of that building to get it painted and replace the windows in it. The windows will be like the ones in the Buchanan Center for the Arts building next to it. They are waiting for delivery for those windows, so that was a nice project for that building.”

Prior to the painting being completed on the property building, contractors were able to repair worn mortar joints and extend the life of the structure by tuck pointing the brickwork.
