On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at approximately 12:32 PM, the Galesburg Police Department responded to 30 N. Soangetaha Road in reference to a well-being check. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female outside the residence. It appeared that the female subject had blunt force trauma to her body. No other subjects were located inside or around the residence.
The residence and area were processed by the Galesburg Police Department and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit. The identification of the female and the cause of death are still pending autopsy results.
On Monday, October 27, 2025, at approximately 8:45 AM, Galesburg Police Officers located 29-year-old David L. Nicholson Klingerman Jr. at 30 N. Soangetaha Road. David Nicholson Klingerman Jr. was taken into custody as a person of interest and subsequently arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.
