With peak flu season right around the corner in December through March, Knox County Health Department Director of Public Information and Community Engagement Erin Olson, reminds individuals to schedule those flu vaccines:

“We have the regular flu vaccine that is available to anyone six months of age and up. We also have the high dose flu vaccine, which is for those who are 65 and up. You can call Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and get that vaccine. We do take Medicare, Medicaid, cash, check, debit cards, credit cards; anything of that nature for it. Keep yourself healthy for the winter. They normally take about two weeks to become active.”

To schedule an appointment at the Knox County Health Department, call 309-344-2224.
