The former Kunes dealership property at 1121 North 6th Street in Monmouth has been purchased by R.P. Lumber. Since their acquisition of the property, R.P. Lumber has entered into a TIF Redevelopment Agreement with the Monmouth City Council, informs City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher:
“Their request was for $1,945,000 for the acquisition and renovation of that structure as well. These funds will be future property tax dollars that are incremental that are paid in the future and then those dollars are used to reimburse the developer for these TIF eligible costs.”
Monmouth City Council has also approved a $358,500 TIF Redevelopment Agreement with Quality Roofing Pro for the rehabilitation of 600 South Main Street.
