Regional Office of Education #33 is excited to announce the completion of major playground upgrades at Roseville Kids Place, enhancing outdoor learning and play spaces for children of all ages. With the support of the Regional Office of Education, these improvements provide safe, engaging, and age-appropriate areas for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
The newly designed playground now features three distinct areas:
– Infant and Toddler Zone (6 weeks-2): Featuring turf, a new shade, climbers, and equipment for the children to continue learning through play.
– Preschool Zone (ages 2–5): A new shade, pedal path for trikes, preschool-sized picnic tables, ride-on toys, balls, and other play materials to continue exploring.
– School-Age Zone (5 and up): Newly dedicated space for school-age children for continued growth, play, and learning.
ROE #33 assisted in securing funding, supporting the installation of turf, fencing, shading units, and new playground materials to ensure the highest quality play environment. “We’re proud to support Roseville Kids Place in creating a safe and engaging outdoor space where children can learn, explore, and grow,” said Regional Superintendent Kathryn Jennings.
The playground improvements were completed in August 2025, with fencing installed in mid-July by Heartland Deck and Fence, and the turf was finalized shortly thereafter by Turf Solutions Group. The enhancements aim to provide a dedicated space for each age group to play together with outdoor activities, social development, and imaginative play in a safe and well-designed environment.
