Rural Knox County Woman Files for Candidacy for County Treasurer Position

A rural Knox County Woman has entered the race for Knox County Treasurer on the Republican ticket. Jerrie Ann Walters of rural Herman has announced her intentions to run for the office of Knox County Treasurer in the 2026 Election. She had over 25 years of experience in public service, higher education, and fiscal management. Jerrie Ann currently serves as Associate Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life at Monmouth College. She has also served as Chief Judicial Officer. She oversees operations, budgeting, and crisis response. Jerrie Ann has previously served as a School Board President. She also serves a Treasurer for the Association of Illinois Rural and Small Schools. Her career reflects a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and community service. Jerrie Ann looks forward to the campaign and to meeting constituents from all over Knox County.
