On September 30, 2025, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Knox County State’s Attorney’s Office and Galesburg Police Department, executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence located at 346 E. 5th Street, Galesburg, Illinois.
During the operation, deputies seized significant evidence of narcotics trafficking, including:
Over 900 grams of suspected methamphetamine
Firearm & ammunition
Digital scales & packaging materials
11 preloaded syringes with suspected meth
Prescription pills & psilocybin mushrooms
U.S. Currency
As a result, Amanda D. Temple (W/F, DOB 07/26/1983) was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
• 430 ILCS 65/2(a)(1): Acquire/Possess Firearm/Stun Gun/Taser without FOID
• 720 ILCS 5/24-1.1: Unlawful Use/Possession of Weapons – Felon/Other Prohibited Person
• 720 ILCS 5/24-3.1: Unlawful Possession of Firearms/Firearm Ammunition
• 720 ILCS 5/33A-2: Armed Violence
• 720 ILCS 646/60(b)(6): Methamphetamine Possession – 900 grams or more
• 720 ILCS 570/402: Possession of Controlled Substance
• 720 ILCS 635/1: Possession of Hypodermic Syringe/Needle

“This case highlights our continued commitment to removing dangerous narcotics from Knox County communities. Methamphetamine trafficking will not be tolerated.”
