Warren County Waterbugs Set to Dive into Season With 43 Swimmers

Share

The Warren County YMCA Waterbugs Swim Team start their season this coming weekend with 43 swimmers, shares Head Coach Ashlyn Quinn:

“We’ve got a team of 43 this year. That include seven new kiddos that joined and are doing really, really well so far. We have our first meet; kicking it off with a Quad at Knox County, so us, McDonough, Kewanee, and Knox. Then the following weekend we head to Springfield for our big three-day season opener. That is a really large meet. It always sets the tone for what the kids need to work on, but I am looking forward to taking the kids there and seeing just how quickly they have fallen back into the routine and hopefully already swim some good times to kick off the season and continue that momentum throughout the rest of the year.”

Coach Quinn is joined by Assistant Coaches Dee Dee Davies and Monmouth College swimmer Ady Smith for the Waterbugs swim season.
