On Monday, November 24th, the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce will host their 47th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Cedar Creek Hall from 11 am to 1 pm. Executive Director Pam Gaither shares the highlights of the upcoming event:
“We will awarding the 46th annual Thomas B. Herring award recipient and that is a community service award that has been given out after the former City Manager, who was just an amazing individual, so they established this after his passing. It will be the 46th award that we will be giving out. We will have a State of the City address from the Galesburg Mayor as well. Then our keynote speaker is Jeannie Weber with the United Way of West Central Illinois. We thought it was a great opportunity to have Jeannie explain the merger of Warren County and Knox County and all the area that she is covering now and just give a good overview of what is to come and what is in the works right now.”
