Illinois SNAP customers are set to begin receiving partial November benefits. The Illinois Department of Human Services says anyone who was supposed to receive benefits November 1st through the 6th will begin receiving partial benefits today. This comes after a federal judge in Rhode Island ordered the Trump administration to fully fund the food assistance program by today. However, the Trump administration filed a notice of appeal in the case and decided to provide significantly reduced November SNAP benefits. The IDHS is awaiting further guidance from the federal government and the courts.
