The Knox County Clerk’s Office has received objections to Candidate filing papers for the upcoming March 17, 2026, Primary Election. The County Officers Electoral Board has been notified that the first hearing will be held on November 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Knox County Courthouse. Objectors can provide additional information at that time. Subsequent meetings of the County Officers Electoral Board will be held at a later date to complete the duties set before it.
Candidates that have been challenged are as follows:
Knox County Clerk & Recorder – Scott G. Erickson (Republican)
Knox County Treasurer – Jerrie Ann Walters (Republican)
Janet Windish (Republican)
Objections were filed for the following persons for County Board District positions:
District 1 – Tammy L. Weiss (Republican), and Anthony R Weiss (Republican).
The Knox County Officers Electoral Board will consist of the following persons:
Scott G. Erickson – Knox County Clerk & Recorder (Chair),
Ashley Worby – Knox County State’s Attorney (Member), and
Mary Ostrander – Knox County Circuit Clerk (Member).
