On Thursday, November 6th, CASA of West Central Illinois is hosting their annual Lip Sync Battle fundraiser at Cedar Creek Hall in Galesburg. Executive Director Kelly Price shares this year’s theme and how proceeds benefit the organization:
“We have four teams performing, they will be performing for your votes. We also have a 50/50, a wine and spirit pull, and a dessert table; it is just a whole lot of fun. This year our theme is ‘Lights, Camera, Lip Sync.’ It is a movie soundtrack theme, so all kinds of songs from any type of movie,” states Price.
“All our funds from the event get funneled back into our organization to provide advocacy for children in foster care. Mainly we use it for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers,” Price adds.
