Described by Edward Albee as ‘the greatest American play ever written,’ the Monmouth College Theatre Department will present ‘Our Town’ inside Wells Theater in three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage,” and “Death and Eternity.” Stage Manager Howard Moffet has more:
“This play, ‘Our Town,’ was written by Thornton Wilder in 1938. He won a Pulitzer Prize for this play. It is a terrific play about small-town life, but it is also a play about paying attention to life; it goes by quickly. It is about life in a small New England town in New Hampshire. It shows a day in the life of the town. It shows life, love, and marriage and things that happen after that.”
‘Our Town’ will take the stage inside Wells Theater at 7:30 pm Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd as well as 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday, November 23rd.
