The Monmouth City Council has reached a tentative agreement with Fraternal Order of Police for a new three-year contract, informs City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher:
“It had been ratified by the union already and it was approved by the City Council. It is a three-year agreement, retroactive back to May 1st of this year. It has annual salary increase; four percent, four, percent, and five percent. Then there are three health insurance considerations as well. There will be a slight increase in the employee’s contribution towards the healthcare insurance premium. Then, there was a maximum placed on the amount of contribution that the City makes into an employee’s health savings account and finally we did increase the deductible amounts.”
Additionally, Monmouth City Council entered a redevelopment agreement with Myers Autoworks at 501 South Main Street, which reimbursements for renovations are eligible through TIF funds.
