The Galesburg-Monmouth-Roseville-United swim co-op has had an outstanding season, but it’s not over yet. Monmouth-Roseville senior Hayden Johnson has officially qualified for State for the second consecutive year. Hayden shares what it’s like competing at the FMC Natatorium after qualifying in back-to-back seasons:
Johnson will participate in two events, the 400 yard freestyle relay team and the 100 yard breaststroke. Other co-op team members that will be swimming at the state finals include Galesburg’s Lily Furrow, Macie Nelson and Faith Warren.
The IHSA State Meet for Hayden will take place this Friday and Saturday in Westmont, Illinois, at the FMC Natatorium.
