On Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 9:17 AM, the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 1300 block of S. Lake Storey Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident involving injuries. It was determined that the drivers were the sole occupants in both vehicles. One of the drivers was extricated from their vehicle by the Galesburg Fire Department. Medical personnel responded to the scene to provide aid to both of the victims. The victims were transported to OSF St. Mary Medical Center Emergency Room in Galesburg by ambulance. Both victims were then life-flighted to OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL, with severe injuries. The names of the victims are not being released at this time.
The accident is under investigation by the Galesburg Police Department with assistance from the Illinois State Police.
