The United Way of West Central Illinois’ 2025 campaign is underway. Executive Director Jeannie Weber informs fundraising is taking place throughout Mercer, Knox, Henderson, and Warren Counties:
“The majority of the non-profits that we have already been funding for at least the last eleven years that I have been here, the majority of them are already doing work in those counties. But, the majority of them have also not been able to receive any funding from those counties because we haven’t been allowed to fundraise. We have to go through a process with the state of Illinois and United Way Worldwide to do that. We are very excited about being able to do that now this year. We have an overall goal of half a million dollars.”
Last year, Weber reports that $285,000 was able to be distributed back into Warren County.
