Candidates continued to file their paperwork to run for political offices that will be voted upon in the March 17, 2026 Primary Election. A total of 7 persons filed paperwork with the Knox County Clerk’s office to run for offices from Precinct Committeeperson to Countywide Offices. The following persons filed for Countywide office on the third and fourth days: None filed for Countywide offices.
The following persons filed for County Board District positions on the third and fourth days: District 1 –Tammy L. Weiss (Republican), Anthony R Weiss (Republican), and Cheryl Nache (Democrat). District 4 – Pam Godsil (Democrat).
For Precinct Committeepersons, the Democrats had 2 persons who filed on the third day. The Republican Party had 3 persons file on the third day and 2 persons on the fourth day.
Candidates have until the close of business on November 3, 2025 to file their paperwork with the Knox County Clerk’s office to be eligible to run in the March 2026 Primary Election.
