A new round of disaster assistance is available for farmers through the USDA’s Farm Service Agency. COUNTRY Financial’s Michael Moore says phase two of the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program was released earlier this month.
“There are some things that producers will need to do. They’ll need to call their local FSA office and set up an appointment to submit the application,” says Moore. “Producers can pick up the application ahead of time or request it by email. There are five sections that must be completed to submit the application, and producers may need help from their crop insurance agent on a couple of those. The sooner you can get in and start the process, the better, so you have time to get everything completed.”
Enrollment for stage two will remain open through April 30, 2026.
