At the recent Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education meeting, upcoming projects within the school district was a topic of discussion. Superintendent Ed Fletcher reports among the projects on the horizon is a drop-off lane at Lincoln Early Childhood:
“We approved a bid to re-roof the Junior High School. When you go into the Junior High, it looks like a brand-new facility. The roof will be that final piece of the puzzle for the Junior High with the HVAC and new roof and all the new things in the rooms and new bathrooms, it looks like a totally different school,” states Superintendent Fletcher.
“We do have some projects coming up next summer. We are going to remodel the bathrooms at Central. Central Intermediate and the Junior High School are going to get some security upgrades. We are also going to do door proximity cards at Central, which we have done at the High School and Junior High and have proven to be very successful for us. At Lincoln, we are going to get a drop-off lane in front of Lincoln. We might lose some nice trees, but we are going to put a drive thru there, it is time to keep parents and kids from walking across 11th,” Superintendent Fletcher adds.
Additionally, the Board of Education approved a resolution to allow Superintendent Fletcher to begin work on the budget for the next school year.
