Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 11th, 2026:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls bowler, Autumn Register. Autumn’s 6-game score of 941 placed her 5th out of over 40 bowlers in the Galesburg Silver Streak Invitational at Abbe Lanes in Abingdon. She also rolled the 4th highest single game score of the day, with a 213. Earlier in the week, she posted her team’s highest total in a dual match against A-Town.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Sara Shimmin. Sara had an outstanding offensive week for the Red Storm. She averaged 9 points and handed out 3 assists in each of the 3 games. Sara was deadly from beyond the 3-point arc, making eight shots at a 44%.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, Aiden Todd. Aiden led the Heat in scoring in both of their scheduled games last week. He averaged 12.5 per contest. Aiden made a team-high five 3-pointers and was 2nd on the team in assists, with four.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is junior girls wrestler, Amyah Pruitt. Amyah is gearing up for a long postseason run as the regular season winds down. She earned a pinfall win in a match against Limestone last week. Earlier this season, Amyah placed 2nd at the Keokuk Invitational and 3rd place at the Metamora Invite.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior girls basketball player, Kennedy Quinn. Kennedy averaged 23 points and 6 rebounds in two big wins last week. She also handed out a team-high 5.5 assists, as well. Kennedy’s 29 points in a win over North Scott at the Iowa/Illinois Shootout earned her the Dearrel Bates MVP Award.
