As part of the ongoing Safety Plan for the Monmouth-Roseville School District, the Board of Education has approved a bid for the installation of proximity card readers at Central Intermediate, explains Superintendent Ed Fletcher:
“A bid in the amount of $263,880 to install proximity card readers at Central Intermediate. We have done the High School. We have done the Junior High and now we are doing Central. It is part of our Safety Plan. While everyone loves physical keys, in an emergency, if your door is not locked, it is hard to utilize physical keys. We want to be able to automate that for our staff. Plus, now if someone leaves the district, we can just shut their key card off and they don’t have access to the building any longer. It is a very good system for us.”
Superintendent Fletcher informs the Board of Education also approved bids for bathroom remodels at Central Intermediate and replacing temporary walls throughout the district with drywall walls.
