With the purchase of the former Shopko building in Monmouth, Smithfield is currently working on the property to relocate their warehouse, informs Associate HRBP Lindsay Goad:

“We are planning to put some work into getting it fixed up and it will be a warehouse for us. We currently have another warehouse nearby, but we are going to relocate to that one. It will have a bit more space for us, plus parking. We do have a lot of employees, so we need parking as much as we can get. This will help with the Casey’s traffic, having another entry point. So, now they will be able to go out that Shopko route.”

Smithfield employs 1,500 locally at their Monmouth facility.
