Lester E. Inman, age 83, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at 2:22 am on
Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg,
Illinois. Lester was born on December 24, 1935 in Baring, Missouri and
is the son of Edward and Mabel Meline Inman. He was raised in Baring and
attended local school and graduated from Baring High School in 1953. He
then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his Country
during the Korean War. Lester married Bonnie Jean Parrish on December
23, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri and she is surviving him. After
service, Lester attended GEM City Business College in Quincy, Illinois
and was trained to be a bookkeeper. Lester worked for Interstate
Producers Livestock Association as a hog buyer and lived and worked in
Elvaston, Illinois, Stronghurst, Illinois, and Ormonde as a hog buyer.
He lastly was employed as a truck driver at the Monmouth Stone Company
and retired in 1996. He is a lifetime member of Fairview Center United
Methodist Church and was very active with his church and family. He
loved fishing, camping, going to Blue Grass Festivals, playing cards and
dancing with his friends. Lester always went to breakfast with men
friends, and enjoyed listening to country music and watching old
Westerns. While in service, Lester hosted the D. J. hour on the Airforce
base and did the same here for the local radio station in Monmouth. He
is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Monmouth, IL; two daughters, Victoria
(David) Reid of Carthage, IL and Sandra (Edwin) Folkerts of Basco, IL.;
two sons, Larry E. Inman and Nancy of Monmouth, IL., and Rick E. Inman
and Siana in Brussels, Belgium. There are 11 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren, and three nieces are also surviving. He is preceded
in his death by his parents, one brother, and his nephew.

A funeral service is planned on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00 am at
the Fairview United Methodist Church near Monmouth. His family plans
visitation at the church from 9:00 to 10:00am prior to the service.
Interment and military honors will be in the Warren County Memorial Park
Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established for the Fairview United
