Monmouth College Freshman, Komater, Hits MWC Baseball Performer of the Week Award

MONMOUTH, IL-Monmouth College freshman outfielder Logan Komater (Ottawa, Ill./Marquette) slugged his way to his first Midwest Conference Offensive Baseball Performer of the Week award for his games in Florida the week of March 9.

Komater made an impressive debut last week, hitting .478 in seven games. The freshman outfielder went 1-for-3 in his inaugural game. Komater’s week was highlighted by a 4-for-5 effort with a pair of RBIs in the Scots’ 9-0 blanking of Kenyon. He drove in two and scored four times in Monmouth’s Florida finale, a 9-2 win over Immaculata. For the week, Komater went 11-for-23 (.478) with six RBIs and seven runs scored.
