Stephanie D. Taylor, 43, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:55 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. 

She was born on May 30, 1976 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Larry D. and Sarah A. (Smith) Taylor.  Stephanie was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1995.  She then attended Monmouth College and Western Illinois University. 

Stephanie worked as an apparel manager the last 18 years at Walmart in Galesburg, IL.  She was an avid reader.  Stephanie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was an animal lover, especially her dog Princess.  Stephanie was a very outgoing person, she never knew a stranger, and enjoyed helping others whenever she could.     

Surviving Stephanie is her mother, Sarah A. Taylor of Monmouth, IL; maternal grandmother, Margaret A. Smith of Galesburg, IL; aunt, Rosalie (Allen) Stone of Spring Valley, IL; Uncle, Harold Smith of Galesburg, IL;  Uncle, Terry (Heather) Smith of Galesburg, IL; aunt, Ginger Taylor of Monmouth; aunt, Debbie (Gary) Royse of Monmouth, IL; uncle, Terry (Sheila) Taylor of Monmouth, IL; cousin/sister, Christy (Brian) Taylor- Osborn and several other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Genevieve Taylor; maternal grandfather, Lee Smith; her father, Larry Taylor; uncle, Russell Smith; cousin Robbie Martin; several aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  No public visitation hours will be planned.  Memorials can be made to the Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR).  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
