Langhorne M. Radeke, age 91, of Rural Maquon, Illinois died at 9:55 A.M. on Wednesday, March 24, 2020 at her home in rural Maquon, Illinois.

She was born on November 17, 1928 at the Baptist Hospital Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Lloyd Lowell and Mary Elizabeth (Hannah) Meeker. She attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. On June 20, 1952 to Ronald Henry Radeke at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in the on April 1, 1985.

Surviving are her children: Debra Beaudry of Maquon, Illinois, Ronald Lloyd (Susan) Radeke of Abingdon, Illinois, and Rene’ Susan (Kevin) Reihm of Galesburg, Illinois; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, David.

She worked at Bergner’s for 20 years and, then T.J. Maxx in the Toy Department in Peoria, Illinois.

She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Galesburg, Illinois. She also was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 40 years, patrolling the Illinois waterways with her own boat.

Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be private graveside services at the Maquon Cemetery, Maquon, Illinois on Monday, March 30, 2020. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois is in charge of the services.
