One new case of COVID-19 in both Warren and Knox Counties

On Thursday, (6-25) the Warren County Health Department announced 1 additional confirmed case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total cases in Warren County to 133. Most cases have experienced mild symptoms. 103 individuals have had their symptoms resolve. Due to federal privacy restrictions, release of any additional information is prohibited. To date there have been 834 negative tests. The new case includes a female between the ages of 40 and 60.

The Knox County Health Department (KCHD) is also announcing one additional case of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), bringing the total positive cases to 121 . The new case involves a male in his 50’s. Curbside testing for COVID-19 is now open to anyone, regardless of symptoms or other criteria, please call the Knox Community Health Center at 309-344-2225 to schedule an appointment. Call early as the Health Center may have same day appointments open.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Thursday announced 894 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 41 additional confirmed deaths.

  • Cook County: 2 males 30s, 1 female 50s, 3 females 60s, 2 males 60s, 2 females 70s, 3 males 70s, 4 females 80s, 3 males 80s, 1 female 90s, 1 male 90s, 1 female 100+
  • DuPage County: 1 male 70s, 1 female 80s, 2 male 80s, 1 male 90s
  • Kane County: 1 male 50s, 1 male 70s
  • Lake County: 1 male 60s, 1 male 80s
  • LaSalle County: 1 male 70s
  • McHenry County: 1 male 70s, 1 male 80s
  • Monroe County: 1 female 80s
  • St. Clair County: 1 male 40s, 1 male 80s
  • Will County: 2 females 80s
  • Winnebago County: 1 male 80s

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 139,434 cases, including 6,810 deaths, in 101 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 31,686 specimens for a total of 1,460,527. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from June 18–June 24 is 3%.
