A national Zoom outage on Monday made for an interesting first day of school for the Monmouth-Roseville students. By mid-morning Zoom was up and running again and students were able to meet and interact with their teachers. At Lincoln Elementary School, the preschool through first grade students will use the online learning platform Seesaw, shares Principal Joe Pilger:
“Seesaw should be very user friendly for our younger students. The way the students can respond to the activities is largely user friendly. The buttons are out there. They can take a picture, do a video, they can upload a document, but the back and forth should be pretty simple. The only thing that we have to remember to do is click that little green check mark up in the top right-hand corner, because that is the submit button,” states Pilger.
Ninety-two percent of students at Lincoln participated throughout the day.
