The Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education has approved COVID-19 Shield testing at the high school. Superintendent Ed Fletcher says a third party agency will collect and transport the samples and at least half of the student body will be tested every week:

“We have to test at least half of our student body one time a week or it doesn’t make financial sense for them to utilize us as a site. The Board also voted to mandate that any student in an extracurricular activity will be required to test at least once a week. It does not have to be an active extracurricular activity; if you were in drama we are going to test you. We have to get that number up to 250 or more.

Currently, Fletcher states there are three positive COVID cases in the district with 81 students and 2 staff members in quarantine. Meanwhile, the district and the Warren County Health Department held a Pfizer vaccination clinic at the school for those students 16 and up. Fletcher reported 60 students participated.
