Day Camp Availably Locally for Individuals with Disabilities Through Camp Kidz

Share

Bridgeway, KCCDD, and Warren Achievement Center are once again collaborating to host Camp Kidz, a fun day-camp spanning 6 weeks during the summer available to individuals with disabilities. The camp will last from 9AM to 2PM, four days a week. Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh expands more on how the campers will be cared for:

“In the summertime, people always look forward to things, and there’s always a risk to everything you do, but with Camp Kidz, it’s so well organized. We’ve got nurses on staff and an RN on staff that’s there at all times, and another nurse who is a counselor there. So, it’s worry free fun for the kids, but no worries for Mom and Dad because all their needs are met. We check up on what medications they may need, or certain ways they need to be cared for during the day, and all that is covered.”

With COVD-19 restrictions, the camp only allows 40 kids, but there are still openings. If your child is interested in participating, please contact us at our email at campkidzfun@gmail.com.
