The United boys basketball team took home the second place plaque in the Rowva-Williamsfield Invitational tournament last week. United lost their tourney opener to Riverdale, before rattling off 4 straight wins to bring their record to 4-1 on the season. The Red Storm stepped up on the defensive end and hope to use that intensity to find their identity as a team.
Head coach Doug Dennison believes that his squad can use their defense to create more opportunities on offense.
The Red Storm travel to Bushnell-Prairie City on Tuesday night. Dennison says United will look to find a way to combat the size advantage that the Spartans will have. The Red Storm will also host Orion in their home opener on Thursday night at the Fieldhouse at United High School. United’s busy week continues with a road match up against North Fulton on Saturday night.
