The University of Illinois Extension will host a six-week virtual Take Charge: Chronic Disease Self-Management Plan series beginning Thursday, October 27th through December 8th. Family Life Educator Tessa Hobbs-Curley explains participants of the series will learn to thrive with ongoing chronic health conditions:
“It is for individuals to learn to thrive and not just survive with ongoing chronic conditions. It is just what it says, it is going to be about learning to discover healthy ways to live with chronic conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, and many others. With this online class, you will find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue, and also discover better nutrition and exercise choices.”
The virtual series will be held from 1 to 3:30 pm each Thursday, with no class on November 24th.
