Kid Captain Selects First Hawkeye Wave Song

The first Iowa Hawkeye Football Kid Captain selects “Brave” by Sara Bareilles to play during the first Hawkeye Wave of the season. Seven-year-old Eli Belser from Elkader was diagnosed with a rare bone disease in 2019, and has been in remission for two years after going through several rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove tumors. Every Hawkeye Kid Captain during the football season will pick a song from a curated list to play during the Wave that day.
